Dansk International Designs cast-iron candleholder. Jens Quistgaard design, ca.1955. The candle holder is made from cast iron and can hold 12 candles. It is stamped to the base "DANSK DESIGNS DENMARK IHQ" and comes in with the original box. The base is finished with small black enamel pads so it will not scratch furniture. The candle holder is an excellent condition and is an excellent example of Mid century modern Scandinavian design. Jens H. Quistgaard designed Dansk's very first products n 1954, his designs made Dansk famous for what it is today (Quality and good design).
